THE OPPORTUNITY
As our Soul Experience Engineer, you'll create the reactive interfaces that visualize authentic AI evolution in real-time. Working with Next.js, React, and TypeScript, you'll build experiences where every interaction visibly transforms the Soul's capabilities and emotional state.
This isn't about building another chat interface—it's about creating magical moments where users witness genuine AI evolution, see emotions transform into art, and build meaningful connections through their digital companions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- • Create magical user interfaces that bring AI personalities to life
- • Build real-time visualizations of AI evolution and growth
- • Develop social features that connect people through their AI companions
- • Design and implement responsive web and mobile experiences
- • Create beautiful galleries for AI-generated creative content
- • Implement smooth animations and delightful interactions
- • Optimize performance for seamless 60fps experiences
- • Build accessible interfaces that work across all devices
- • Take ownership of frontend architecture and user experience
- • Collaborate with design and backend teams on feature development
REQUIREMENTS
- • 3+ years of professional experience with React.js, React Native, and TypeScript
- • Strong proficiency with Next.js and PWA development
- • Proficiency with Expo for cross-platform mobile development
- • Experience with real-time WebSocket implementations
- • Animation experience with tools like Rive, Spline, or similar
- • State management expertise (Zustand preferred)
- • Mobile-first responsive design skills
- • Understanding of emotional design principles
- • Experience with performance optimization for smooth 60fps interactions
- • Strong ownership mentality - you drive features from design to deployment
NICE TO HAVES
- • Experience with particle systems and creative coding
- • Background in game UI/UX or virtual pet interfaces
- • Knowledge of emotion-to-visual mapping systems
- • Experience with haptic feedback and mobile gestures
- • Understanding of attachment theory or behavioral psychology
- • Familiarity with cozy game aesthetics
